ekg q physio med patho?
my brain is fried from a full day of studying:
The following ECG recording is typical of a patient with:
• A. right ventricular hypertrophy.
• B. a stenotic pulmonic valve.
• C. a stenotic aortic valve.
• D. high resistance in the pulmonary arterioles.
i know leads 1 and 2 have to be positive normally in a normal lower left axis....i need to go over diseases and ekgs which i have not yet done.

It's been a REALLY long time since I've looked at ECG's. They weren't discussed in my lecture, and I only did them once in lab, and probably forgot most of it.
My physiology textbook only briefly describes the ECG. But, I was able to look online and refresh my memory. I even found a good site that showed what ECG's look like for people with certain heart diseases.
To figure out the answer, I'd go by process of elimination.
For people with right ventricular hypertrophy, they would have no R wave at all in lead I. The only thing they would have in lead I would be a QS wave, or a huge wave that is deflected downward/negative. Looking at the first picture in your link, they're clearly is a positive/upward "R" wave. So we can rule out A.
I used some basic anatomy for choice B. If you have a pulmonic valve that has a smaller than normal opening, wouldn't that mean that the right ventricle has to pump harder? Then that would make it have right ventricular hypertrophy as well - but that's the same thing as what A is saying. So we can rule out B too.
How about C? Well if you have a stenotic aortic valve, then the LV has to pump harder, and you'd have left ventricular hypertrophy. So you could look up ECG patterns for LVH. After looking over different ECG patterns, I think it is similar to what you have in the link. There should be an increased R wave in lead I, a large QS wave in lead III, and a large R wave in aVL. Take a look at the link below to see what I mean.
So I'd go with choice C because the graphs I saw match up closest to what you have.
